X Ray

The first day of my last period was March 26, 2008. My husband had a dental appointment on April 12, 2008. During that appointment, he had x-rays and a panoramic x-ray that took a picture of his entire mouth. This was the type of x-ray recommend by his doctor. While doing the x-rays, I was sitting outside, but unfortunately my chair was just behind the x-ray machine separated by a wall. Now, I m not sure if I am pregnant, but I am worry if sitting next to the machine (seperated by a wall) while functioning, will have negative effects on my baby (if pregnant) ? Thank you for your clarification.

I was a dental a__sistant for 10 years and can tell you that the x-rays bounce off of solid surfaces and do not penetrate walls. Schar is right, your baby is at no risk at all. Congratulations on your pregnancy!

Due to medical problems I had to have X-rays while 2-3 months preg. with my daughter. She was born perfectly healthy with no effects from it. I am sure you will be fine.
