Yeast Infefction

The nurse just called and said that upon testing my pap smear they found a little yeast. I did not even know that I had an infection - I feel fine! Anyways, she told me that I can safely use monostat 3 or 7. I am 11 weeks preg. Does anyone have any experience with this? I will go buy the cream tonight but I just want to see if anyone out there has had a yeast infection while pregnant.

I am 29 weeks pregnant and also have a yeast infection. My doctor said to use Monistat 7 only. He said that yeast infections are pretty stubborn in pregnant womrn and if you use the 3 day, they usually come back.

i think I am on my 4th yeast infection, at 23 weeks. they are TOTALLY normal (maybe not this many!) because your hormones are so off and the hormones that usually regulate the yeast in your body aren't doing their job as well. Also, if you have had any other infections (like a urinary tract) and are on antibiotics, that makes the yeast grow - can't win! My doctor also tells her patients to use Monistat 7 instead of the "faster ones". Good luck and don't worry!

Thanks. I bought the Monistat 7 today and used the first one tonight. But because I was unsure I only put the applicator half way. I hope it will still work. Something about having it touch my cervix kind of freaked me out. But now that you have written and said that you used it with no problem I feel much better. Did you use it the right way : pushing applicator all the way up? Thanks for the input...
