10 Month Old Sleep Question

My 10 month old will not sleep through the night without waking up at least 3 times. I have tried letting him cry but he screams bloody murder until I come get him. He will not go back to sleep until I give him a bottle. I don't think he is hungry I think he is doing this out of habit. When he get's up I give him 2 ounces in his bottle and he is asleep. He has always done this but it's starting to get old I am tired of getting up in the night. I don't remember the last full night of sleep I got. He goes to bed fine He eats good he is a super happy healthy baby what do I do to get him to sleep through the night?

It sounds kind of like he is needing to suck for comfort and to soothe himself back to sleep. If he is only taking 2 ounces, he musn't be that hungry. What about a soother? Or, what about trying a bottle of water? Guaranteed, he will HATE that....maybe he will eventually stop waking up if he knows that all he will get is lousy water. Good luck.

Does he take a pacifier? Sometimes when my son "loses" his binky at night he cries then I put it back in his mouth & he's fine. Sorry I don't have any other advice! Good luck!

He dose take a paci. Sometimes it works but other times he is standing up in his crib just crying. I think I might try the water. Thanks for all your help
