Hi guys, another question! (i have a lot of them-sorry!) My dd is bf and used to have like 10 bms a day (no exageration!). Well now she sometimes goes days without pooping and then when she does go finally it is explosive and liquid and ALOT!!!! I know gross, but its like pudding, even a little more watery than that. And she can fill, and I mean FILL 3 diapers in a row. I cant imagine this is healthy. Anyone know?

My ds is formula fed but he went through the same thing when he was that ge (he's not nearly 6 months). I would say that it's normal, as long as she's not constipated and having to seriously strain. Though I'm a new mom and am no baby guru so you may want to hear from some of the more season mama's out there and not follow what I say blindly.

Mine is 11 weeks and his poops slowed down about 3 weeks ago. He now has 3 dirty in a row twice a day and none the rest of the day. From what I've read, it's normal. My ds is b___stfed and the doc told me if he was struggling to give him a little water (5ml) after feedings. Just enjoy the break between the poops. I know I am. It's cut down on my worry of diaper rash, too.

ry, that sounds exactly like my ds! He was going 8-12 times a day during his first few weeks. Now he goes 2-4 days between bm's and when he goes it's a doozy! It usually comes out of the diaper because there is so much of it. It's messy, but I prefer it to tons of little bowel movements.
