2 Months Shots No Appt Available How Late Is Too Late

My DS turns two months on October 14th. My stupid (excuse the nasty word) primary care provider cannot see him until the second week in November!!! He will be three months by then! But she does have an appointment on Oct. 9th. But I read that they cannot have their shots earlier then 2 months...if they do they have to do them again. Is this true? And if so...then is starting them in November too late? ARG some times I HATE military hospitals/clinics. Thanks ladies!

I would opt for later rather than earlier.... there is no problem having them later... just make sure his 4 month shots are at least 2 months later than the first set of shots.

I agre with exited2bemama. The later the better...gives their little immune system time to mature a bit more to handle the vaccinations. My lo will have his at 10 weeks, I would put it off until the day I send him to daycare, but I want to make sure he handles it well while I am still on leave.

I think you just need to make sure their 4 month shots are 2 months after whenever they get those first set of shots. I wouldn't worry about it being a little later! I'm sure it won't be a problem!

We had the same issue with our ds shots -- but not the 2 month but at the 4 month shot - it will be 2 wks late -- dr. said no problem as long as the next shots are given 2 months from that date.
