Wow! Can you beleive it's been 4 quick months already. I just wanted to share our information. Our appointment went well today! My little peanut now weighs 13lbs 14 oz and is a whopping 24 1/4 inches long. Both put her at 50%. But her noggin is only coming in at 15 3/4 (which dropped her from 25% down to 15%...hmmm). Reflux is under control (knock on wood) for the time being but our recent test results for the c-diff has yet to come back yet. But she is doing great! Yeay. I can't beleive we grew 3 inches in 2 months. Thanks for letting me share:-)

Thats so cool. Glad all is well. Because I have gone back to work, Little man hasn't been to clinic to be weighed and measured since the week before xmas. I am taking him during half term and I look forward to seeing how much he's grown - my arm ache suggests quite a lot.

Well be....she is on Zantac (.8ml 3times a day) and she was on Reglan (4 times a day). The GI doctor stopped the Reglan. It wasn't working. She is also on Alimentum formula due to a protein allergy along with the reflux. Is your lo on formula? Mine was on Soy, but due to protein she couldn't tolerate it. I ask because it seems like a lot of reflux babies are put on soy. There are a lot of mothers on here whose babies did not do well on Zantac and they use Prevacid. I'm going to say what Bonnie would say right now...go and check out infantrefluxdisease. It's a great website! (beat ya to it Bonnie:-) But between the formula and Zantac, she is doing good for now. I say for now bc the GI doc said it will get worse before better. Usually around 5 months due to babies moving around more (rolling, trying to sit up and crawl etc). How much Zantac is your lo on? Mine was only on 2xs day but once switched to 3 and taken off Reglan, she did better (again, in conjunction with the formula).

hi lexa-checked out the website already. it is very good. my lo is on allementum as well. she has a protein allergy as well to soy and milk. she is on zantac twice a day and reglan 4 times a day. we'll see how that works. she hasn't switched to any other meds b/c we haven't seen the gi doc yet. i just can't wait b/c like i said it's driving me crazy and of course the baby too! how do you deal with the constant crying??????

lexa - February 6

Since we went to the GI (a month ago now), she has been doing great! (knock on wood). I couldn't deal with the crying. I cried too! And I called my ped every day I swear...he probably hated seeing me walk in today! Oh well. When we went to the GI doc, they stopped the Reglan and added an extra dose of Zantac a day. I hope they find the right mix for you guys. Do you by chance thicken her feedings? That is also one thing we have to do to help keep formula down. That started recently along with our med change. So she is on Alimentum: Zantac and thickened feedings. The thickened feedings did help too:-)

hi lexa, i was thickening the feedings but stopped b/c we thought she was allergic to the cereal. we will try again once we see the gi doc. did reglan make your lo tired? mine is and she is sleeping alot which is good but, on the other hand the only time she isn't crying is when she's sleeping or when she's eating. i don't wnat that. i want her to not cry when she's awake!!!! that's allllllllllllll i ask!!!!! anyway, thanks for the advice. i hope they actually take her off reglan, i'm not sure i like it so much.

She did sleep a lot on it! What did they tell you the Reglan was for? My ped said the Reglan was to help keep the acid down (Zantac to control burning). It worked for all of a month. Then all started over again. The ped said some babies have an adverse reaction to it and it doesn't work. My GI doc said they plain don't like it or use it. There are some it works for, others it doesn't. I really hope your lo gets better quick. I hope your lo isn't allergic to the cereal (or there is something else you could maybe use). That really helped us too. Please let me know what the specialist says! Actually, let us all know:-) I'll pray for you guys:-)

thanks lexa. her ped said the reglan was to empy the tummy out quickly and making it better for her with the reflux. anyway, thanks for all your help.

Thats what he told me too (it would go down rather than up)....only worked for a month:-(
