My dd is 6 months old. I want to buy her some new toys. She has a exersaucer now. What do you ladies suggest? Thanks,

My son is 6 months and other than the exersaucer and jumparoo he really only plays with smaller toys and teething rings. We have the amazing animals train and 3 different peek.a.blocks toys, but he still seems more interested in trying to eat them than play with them. He does have a ball popper that he loves - I think it may be the reason he sits up by himself - just so he can push the top and watch the b___s pop around. He loves his phone and remote control that flas colors and make noises. He also has a ball that someone gave him that flashes different colors when it spins and he loves to play with it at night, but as usual - he ends up trying to eat it and cries when he can't get any part of it in his mouth!!

If you don't already have them, the toy we got the most use out of by far was a simple set of stacking cups. They cost around $3.00. At six months, all my dd wanted to do was have me stack those things in a tower over and over so she could knock them down. She would laugh and laugh and never got tired of it. She just turned a year and she still plays with them everyday, but now she likes to stack them into each other by herself. There is also a set of blocks put out by Parents magazine that Target sells that she really liked. Some of the blocks had things inside of them that pulled out to rattle or chew on. She liked the things inside the blocks more than the blocks themselves.

I agree with the cups idea!! Also, anything that makes noise. She has a toy she STILL plays with that she started with at 3 mos. It is a 3 in 1 activity something... I will look it up and post the link.

Ok, it is called the 5 in 1 Adjustable Gym. It is by Little Tykes. If you go to the ToysRUs website, click to search by age (0-12 mos) then narrow by brand ( Little Tykes). It is$35. Like I said, my dd still plays with it, and she is 13 mos. It adjusts as they grow and is great!! The batteries last forever, too. We have never replaced them yet!
