8 Months And HATES Baby Food Help

Ds is 8 months now and still refuses to eat baby food. I've been trying to feed him what I'm eating (refuses unless he can feed it to himself) I 've tried those graduates chicken stix ( btw he has 2 teeth) the pasta pick ups. No matter what he will eat, he will only have a couple bites. Then he will throw a fit until he gets a bottle. I'm a little worried becuse he still takes 5-6 6 oz bottles a day and from what I understand most babies by this age are starting to slowly make the transition to more solid foods than formula. Is ANYONE else in this same position or been here? Please help!!

It takes some babies a dozen or more tries of a specific food to actually decide to like it. Keep trying. Maybe try something that is easy as a first food but tasts good (like applesauce --you could mix in cereal w/ it to thicken if needed/wanted). Then just stick w/ it. Try it for a week or two in a row and see if he'll eat it. Don't try anything else at this time just keep trying the food you pic and offer it a doz pluss times before giving up on that food. Other then that I don't know what to suggest. If this doesn't work I'd mention it to the doc. Will he eat it if you give him his bottel first? My 6m old dd loves to eat so I haven't had this issue, but sometimes she will refuse to eat b/c she wants to nurse. She will nurse and as soon as she's done w/ that she'll be ready to eat her solids. Good luck.
