8wks Sleep And Fussiness

Misty - February 2

My baby is two months old and the only way i can get him to sleep for a long period of time is to bundle him up in a soft blanket and put him in his car seat. Sometimes i even have to fasten him in! Every now and again he'll let me bundle him up in his swing and sleep a good while. But then the other day I laid him on the couch propped up on a pillow and covered him with a receiving blanket and he laid there looking around then just closed his eyes and went to sleep. He absolutely refuses to sleep in his bassinet. Has since his first week at home. And around 4,5, or 6 o'clock, he's pretty much awake for the rest of the evening. He fusses and does't want to lay or sit (in his swing or carseat or bouncer) by himself at all and he even fusses certain ways he's held. He smiles a lot and tries to make noises. So, is he old enuf to be spoiled wanting to be held? He isn't held that much. He used to be easy to lay down and go to sleep on his own. Could it be gas, that keeps him a fussy in the evenings? Any ideas? I'd appreciate any answers. Thank you.
