Ok, so heres the update. I went for my ultrasound. The embryo that was not viable, is not there. The tech couldnt find it. I must have expelled the non-viable embryo sometime over the past 2 weeks. The other baby is still well implanted, despite the bleeding. The sac is definately bigger and has grown. There is no heatbeat that can be seen as of yet. So now, I have to return for another ultrasound in 2 weeks, to confirm the presence of a heatbeat, and thus a viable pregnancy. Good news so far! Thank you everyone for all of your support... I'll keep you all updated on the progress of this pregnancy!

Oh, I'm happy and sad at the same time! I'm happy they seen the little sweet raisin! I'm sad baby 2 is gone, and sad you have to wait 2 more weeks to see it's heartbeat! Although, we all know it's there! Beating away....so sweet! Congratulations! I'm going to cry now! Yeah!

Ohhh Anytimelittleone, I am sad that you had to have bad news along with your good news. I am so happy that the other little one is doing good.. I know the little heart is just beating away, but lo is just too tiny to see yet.. I will continue to pray and think of you...

I'm glad to hear that they did see another growing baby....but so sad to hear that you did lose one precious baby. If I remember correctly this is an iffy time for seeing a heartbeat so be encouraged! I know you still have alot on your mind right now and I will continue to pray for you.

Thank you for all the support everyone. Honestly, I was a little relieved to see that the non-developing embryo had expelled itself, and nature had taken its course.. it also explained some of the bleeding. As far as the second baby goes.. everything Ive been reading says that the heart is fully functioning between week 6-7... when I asked the tech when the heart beats, she said sometimes its hard to detect, but I cant help but think... maybe she was just being nice... and theres no heartbeat at all :( Im still optomistic about the situation, to play devil's advocate, in another 2 weeks, at least Ill have a decisive final answer as to whats going on... and the worry and sleepless nights will stop. Thank you again so much everyone! I better run.. Eva is in the livingroom playing on her mat!

I have a friend who was pregnant with twins. She had had a lot of bleeding even before she knew it was twins so she had a u/s and that's where she found out about the twins. Both of their heartbeats were very low. Eventually one "disappeared" and she had lots of bleeding and thought she had lost the other one, too, but she had another u/s and the surviving twin's heartbeat was up where it should have been... and she's now a healthy 3 yo. Hang in there... it is possible to lose a twin, have lots of bleeding and still deliver a healthy baby!!

I am so sad and hppy at the same time. Two weeks, that would drive me nuts. I would be a mess for the next two weeks. So how far along do they think you are? Heartbeat is hard to detect. We saw Marcy's at 8 weeks. The doc did the u/s instead of a tech, just ot put my mind at ease because I had a previoous m/c. I hope that you do get to see the little heartbeating away at you next scan. I will be pryaing for you. I also am glad that the baby that didn't make it, did expell itself naturally, as you said at least gives you some resoning for hte bleeding. Good luck.

How many weeks are you? with jordan they didn't see a heartbeat at 6 weeks 5 days, then at 7 weeks 3 days they didn't ethier but at 9 weeks it was there beating away, so stay positive!! and i wish you the best of luck

Im about 6 weeks. I have ANOTHER u/s next week (7 weeks, ordered by the OB/GYN) to see if things have grown, or if theres a heartbeat... The OB/GYN called me today and told me she has a feeling that something is awry, and that the 2nd baby might not be viable, but that nothing is for sure. Pray for me guys!

Rabbits07 - February 21

Did she say what her feeling was based on?
