Advice For Baby Sleeping Tips

I didn't have this problem with my 1st 3 kids. They put themselves to sleep on their own. This one is different. She has to be rocked to sleep then I have to VERY gently lay her down, most of the time she wakes up & I have to start all over again. How do I get her to put herself asleep? O by the way she just turned 7 months.

I need help as well this is my 1st she turned 7 months on the 28th. She has only fallen to sleep on her own twice unless you count the car rides.

I posted a question like this about a month ago. My daughter is 6 months old, and now can put herself to sleep. I had to let her cry a little when I put her down for her naps. I figured it was easier this way b/c she could see where she was. The first day she cried for about 10 minutes and I would just go in and stroke her head, until finally she went to sleep. Each day it got to be a little bit less, until she started to put herself to sleep. Now at night time, I bath her, feed her and we have a little snuggle until she is obviously tired, then I lay her down, say good-night, and I don't hear from her until morning (except the occasional cry during the night...she's been sick, had her vaccinations this week and is going through a growth spurt. poor kid). I know that letting kids cry it out it is not everyones method, but it worked for me.
