Hi, anyone out there with kids who are 18 months apart or less? I have a one year old and am due in July with my second. They will be 14 months apart. Just wondering who has been through this , how it went, and any advise you may have... thanks so much. gracie

I'm 18 years old and I have a 1 year old and a 2 year old. They are only 11 months 20 days apart. The best advice I can gve you is to try to get your kids on the same schedule right away. Sleep when they sleep. get as much help as you can at first because you will be exhausted. Before you have your second child, try to get household stuff done and prepare for baby if you haven't already. Also, my double stroller saved my life. If you want to get out this summer and are trying to lose baby weight, a double stroller is the best thing to have. I have 2 boys, so I saved my oldest sons clothes so my youngest can wear them, too. Congrats and good luck to you.

My oldest 2 are 16 months apart...and of those two the oldest was 3 years old when I had my third....so I had 3 children all age 3 & under. To be honest with you I feel like I have a harder time keeping up with my 3 year old now than trying to keep up with all of them....of course that was 11 years ago, so either I'm old and now I'm too worn out to keep up with the one I have now, or I'm so old I just don't remember having a hard time with the others--ha!ha! To the best of my recollection they all played pretty well together because they were so close in age. I'm sure it wasn't all peaches and cream , but I'm sure I'd remember if it had been a nightmare. All my kids are ffairly close together and I think it's great!

I don't have kids that close in age but I have friends who do. They tell me that at first it's harder and more hectic having them both so young, but once they get to be 2 or 3 years old, they start playing so well together and then the age difference becomes a good thing.
