Always Want To Munch

I just had my son a few days ago and everytime he puts his hand against his mouth he wants something to eat. I br___tfeed him and he wants to eat like every hour. Is this normal and will it stop?

That's normal in the beginning. His little tummy is very tiny right now and can't hold much but he will start spacing out his feedings as he starts gaining weight and getting bigger. Also, babies at this age have a desire to suck that has nothing to do with hunger. Once you are confident that he has caught on to latching on to the b___st and is doing well at nursing (some babies pick it up right off and some have trouble) you can introduce a paci or his thumb to help him out.

I bfed for 9 months, in the beginning it seemed every time I turned around I was bfing, I introduced a paci and it helped alot. Good luck! and Congrats on your newest addition!
