Hi girls.sorry this is long. i need some reasurrance.frankie is 8 months and for the last 3 days hes been crying non stop.he has all the symptons of teething,we ended up taking him to the emergency gp centre last night as he was boiling hot and i couldnt console him.my temp thermometer battery had run out and i was concerned because he was pulling at his ears.the doc said had a raised temp and that he thought he had a little cold but i hadnt noticed this.a very slight runny nose but not really a cold.he checked ears and throat .all was fine. hes not sleeping for any length of time.he is still eating solids but isnt interested in the bottle or juice.he had about 8 ounces all day today and thats it and not much more yesterday.im worried about him getting dehydrated.his temp seems better tonight ,hes a lot cooler and ash said in another post that fever can be indication of teething, thanks ash that made me feel a lot better.hes been like this for 3 days now but fever was only yesterday.if the teeth are trying to break thro now and hes been teething before is this the real thing lol.im so miserable for him,hes not smiled for days and hes only at peace when asleep. thanks for reading.x

Hi Shelly, George went through exactly the same thing, it lasted for about 4-5days, the fever was quite high, i gave him nurofen and that seemed to do the trick. As you know George is very nearly 9 months old and STILL no sign of teeth, he has been teething for months. Do you still warm his milK (sorry can;t remember if you bf or not) when George is poorly he loves warm milk, otherwise he's not fussed. Hope Frankie gets better soon xx

Little man has has a runny nose and cough since jan due to teething, although no fever. I help him out with mummy cuddles and calpol. We're waiting for it to pa__s. He's got his 2 front bottom teeth. he did improve for a week or so but symptoms are back, so think more are on the way. Just think - it won't be forever

During his wost episode, he woke up every 2 hour, he was b__wing raspberries and very wingy. It breaks my heart when he is hurting and I can't help him. Shelly, go ahead and cry, I admit during bad times that I have cried and I feel so much better, unfortunately tiredness creeps in and makes you worse, ut ike sophand bob said, it won't be forever. George's temp got as high as 39.4, i called the doctor out but he said he was fine and like i said the nuofen did the trick. Calpol doesn't seem to have any effect on George, thats why i tred nurofen, but if calpol does the trick great.

Night Shelly, with the nurofen (if you get it), get the medicine, it comes with a handy syringe, it is very easy to dispense, the other way is sachets, but if you said he's not taking too much liquids at the moment they i think the medicine will be better. Let me know how your night goes xx
