Just wondering if any of you had x-rays done of your baby, where they put them in that little tube thingy and there arms are straight up and they can't move at all. That was the hardest thing for me, he was screaming and crying and couldn't move. Then they made me leave the room and that was ever more harder for me. I started crying so bad, I didn't wanna see my son like that!

Oh my gosh, isn't that thing horrible??? I had to take my son (who is 2 now) to the ER when he was a few months old and they put him in that tube. It broke my heart to see him so distraught. The "tube" looked like a science project created in 1970. You'd think they could come up with something better than that with all the technology we have these days. It just seems so cruel. :o)

I HAD TO BRING MY SON WHEN HE WAS 2 MONTHS OLD FOR A SKULL XRAY. I CRIED THE ENTIRE WAY FROM HIS DOCTORS TO THE IMAGING PLACE TO HAVE THEM DONE. IT ENDED UP THAT IT CAME BACK NORMAL. HE HAS A VERY VERY MILD CASE OF INFANT TORTICOLLIS- WHICH NOW HAS BEEN TAKEN CARE OF THROUGH PHYSICAL THERAPY, AND MASSAGE. I COULDNT IMAGINE IS HE HAD TO HAVE A CATSCAN ETC DONE I WOULD FLIP. POOR LITTLE GUY. ;-(

This just happened last friday and he's about 6 wks. I went to the pediatricians and he told me that his breathing was retracting which his breathing was little harder than normal, so he sent me over to get the x-ray and then he sent me over again to get an ultrasound b/c he said his liver was a little enlarged. Come to find out nothing was wrong with him. That was so hard for me though. I was there from 10:30 in the morning and I didn't leave until 4:30. Then he had to get his 2nd shot that same day too, so that day was just not a good day.

I took my oldest for xrays at 18 months. They were checking for a fracture in her elbow...she had just popped it out of place. She was not too bad, but when they popped it back in; I was bawling.

my dd was born six weeks early, and they gave her two chest x rays...to check her lungs, but i didn't have to witness them thankfully (she ended up being fine)...i did however have to watch them do a heel stick on her one nite, and my heart broke for her.
