I was wondering if anyone knew the name of a chair thing i'm after. It's plastic and circular, kinda looks like a potty and has a bit that comes up between the legs. It's to help babies sit up on their on when they're still a bit wobbly. I really want 1 for my dd as she hates her bouncy chair now and wants to sit upright but cant quite manage on her own yet. If anyone knows what this is called or where i could get one i would be really greatful! Thanks :o)

I know what your talking about but I forgot the name they are very pricey and they don't use them for that long I would suggest a boppy pillow instead they are not as good as that chair but they are much cheaper and work about the same like I said lo will be sitting up on their own in no time and it is just a waste of money....sorry if I b___ted in with differnt info ( :

Love my bumbo. Max was a little delayed on his gross motor skills and the bumbo has helped so much. His extender muscles were over developed and this flexor muscles were really lacking. (he was always wanting to stand and have his arms out streched to his sides instead of sitting and bringing the arms and hand into the center) He cried at first if he was in there for more than a few minutes, but the PT said to think of it as excersize and he would need to work up his time in it, just as anybody would have to work up their time on a piece of new work out equipment.

they look great, but rl's right they are quite expensive. How much use have your lo's got out of them? Would you say they're worth it?

The wal-mart knock off is way big. I would only get it if you have a VERY chubby baby. We have had ours about 6 wks and are very pleased with it. You will hear a lot of moms say that their babies don't like it, but it is probably due to the baby working the muscles that are weak. We started out at 5 min at a time, but within a week or two he was in it for 20-30 minutes a day. Max in it for 30 minutes 2-3 times a day now, which is probably how it will stay for a while. He eats two meals a day sitting in it and also sits in in on the table while I clean the kitchen. He really likes it at family dinners at the grandparents house. He is the center piece and loves all the attention!

Before today i would have said she was about average size for a 16 and a half wk old, but when we were shopping we saw a 6 month old girl who was half the size of her. She looked like such a monster next to her LOL
