I saw the redneck post....The company I work for had Jeff Foxworhty at our Christmas party one year. We had a contest to see who could come up with the best redneck jokes at Dot (the name of the company) One of the winning jokes was "You might be a redneck if you have Jeff Foxworthy to your Christmas party and tehn have a sontest to see who could out do him..." The company is a trucking/warehousing compnay and the refridgerated trailers we have we call reefers. The winning joke was "You might be a redneck at Dot if when on your job aplication when it asked for reefer experience you put, yes, but I didn't inhale...."

I was talking to my dh one day and I actually used teh word usedtocould. I dont even remember what I used to could do. As soon as the word came out of my mouth, it got so wide and dh and I burst out laughing....

I do that, too!! I will catch myself saying something I normally wouldn't. I am the "grammar police" around my house. I HATE bad grammar. My husband says thinks like " She don't know" or "I ain't doing it" DRIVES ME NUTS! So he loves it when I slip and use a "hillbilly" word as he calls it. He is from ILL all of his life.. so he has no clue about these southern words!!

Not trying to hijack your post, but I live about 45 minutes from Jeff Foxworthy and I have yet to see him. I'd love to, since he performs here a lot. I'm going to see Larry the Cable Guy in March, and I can't wait.

ShanaB- Are you going to see him in Kearney? Dh and I will go to...it is his b-day present.

No, he'll be in Atlanta. Where is Kearney?

He was very funny. Of course I heard alot of his stuff before the show but he put new stuff in there too and he added spur of the moment stuff. He heard sirens going by and looked out big plate galss windows and said, " I didn't know my brother was in town..." He also said before the show he was asked by a bunch of our "big wigs" where he had come from cause they knew he had taken some time off and was busy the week before as we had to move our Christmas Party to accomodate him, and he was reluctant to share. he had been deer hunting and wasn't sure how well it would be recieved. Little did he know we are in the heart of deer contry in IL. I mean people come form all over the us to hunt here and in neighboring counties. They pay big bucks to lease farm ground to hunt off of....We have also moved the Christmas party cause it was the same weeknd as shotgun deer season. he was suprised that as soon as he mentioned he was deer hunting, everyone asked for pictures.....he siad usually eveyrone is backstage sharing [pictures of their kids and this time they were swaping deer hunting storie.s......anyway it is worth seeing him, imo

Kearney is in southcentral Nebraska. Larry was raised in southeast nebraska (near omaha...I think) when he was younger. As I recall, he moved in his teens. Anyway, he seems to come through every couple of years. I guess for some reason I thought you were one of the gals that live in Nebraska. I hope it is good!
