Avent Bottle Users Stage 4 Nipples

My almost 8 month old has been using #3 nipples since she was about 4 months old....She seems to be very bored while drinking her bottles at daycare..she often refuses them...it seems she just would rather play...(butnow she's been waking in the middle of the night) So, I'm wondering if its time to try the #4 nipple, which is recommended for 6+ months. Do you think the flow will be too fast? Anyone else using #4 at or around this age?

Ok, I went out and picked up a couple and she was probably ready for the 4's a while ago! She drank 6.5oz in about 5 minutes (fast for her)...question answered!

You know, my little guy is on Enfamil AR which is a thicker formula. He's not even 3 months old yet and he uses the #4 nipple and does really well with it. All the other ones are just way to slow for him, and the formula gets clogged. I would try the 4's. Good luck!

I use these bottles... the stage 4 nipples are made for thicker formulas or formula with cereal in it. They are not intended to be used as the next step up. The stage 3 nipples is the last step. The difference between the 4s and every other one is that it has a laser cut slit not laser cut holes in it. I had to add cereal in my daughters formula but it still came out too fast and it made a huge mess all over her. We dont use them any more we just deal with her spitting up because I couldnt get it to work. GL
