Baby Quot Swimming Quot

My 14-week daughter has lately been doing a lot of "swimming" motions, or as my husband puts it, "frog legs". When she is changed or fed, she often pulls her knees up toward her belly and holds them there, and/or pumps her legs repeatedly, which makes it rather difficult to deal with her. Is this a phase she's going through or does she do this because something is bothering her?

She's doing it because she's strengthening her leg muscles so that she can roll over, crawl, and walk. Completely normal.

As mischelly30 said it is all very normal and all babies do it.

Oh Yeah! Just wait until she starts rolling and you are trying to change a poopie diaper. Enjoy the kicky-kicky for right now........
