Baby Clothes Size Question

First time mom here! When will my baby stay in the same size clothing for longer periods of time? Is it at 6/9 months or after. He is 10 weeks old wearing mostly 3/6 month clothes and some small 6 month items. Thanks in advance. :-)

They are all different. Mine tended to be big babies... if not in weight, then in height, so they went through the 0-3 (well my youngest actaully was never in 0-3 lol), 3-6, 6-9 and 12 month clothes very quickly. My three were all different, but they each slowed down and stayed in a size for a longer period of time b/w 12 months and 2T.

Gretchen went through the 0-3 and the 3-6 pretty quickly as well, we're almost through the 6-9, she's only got a few outfits in those sizes left that fit, and we're on 12m. She's 6 1/2 months old, BTW.

It's funny....some clothes seem to be sized differently, and it confuses the heck out of me!! Like, some of my dd's sleepers and one-piece outfits are size 12 months, and they fit her perfectly (she's 9 months). Yet, she is still able to wear her 0-3 month onsies from the Children's Place. Also, her babyGap snowsuit, size 6-12 months, is getting too short.....but her other snowsuit, size 9 months, fits her fine. I think it kind of depends on the brands....they don't seem to be a standard size. It seems to me that 6-12 month was the longest lasting phase of clothes. For my daughter anyway.

For me it depends on the brands, I find somethings run small, other big, my dd has been wearing 3-6 since she was about 6weeks because she's really long, now she's almost 5months and is still in them. It's like she's bulking up now, I think she's getting fatter and stopped the growing long thing. I do know that Okie Dkie clothes are made for fatter, shorter babies than she is I have some 3-6 stuff that I got for Christmas that is so short and wide for her.

It started to level out for my oldest ds around 2yrs. Before that he was outgrowing everything so fast. Now he seems to have leveled out. There are even some clothes that he has fit back into after having outgrown them because they tend to slim out a bit once they become more active. I've found that is the case especially with pants. When the belly starts to go away the pants fit again! So basically 24 month stuff and size 2 seemed to have lasted quite a few months. Now he's in a growth spurt again so he's fitting some size 4 stuff too. That's still a little ways away for some of you though!
