Baby Clothes Sizes

Hey beautiful mamas! Is it just me or do baby clothes sizes run small (or maybe i just have a big baby). I hate putting lo in anything that feels even a little snug, i like everything a bit bigger so she is comfy but at two months she is wearing 3-6 month old clothes and even some of those are a little snug. Is this normal?

I think it is about time they change baby clothes sizes b/c every mother I know has there child in clothes that dont go with thier age. I can tell you that every stores sizes will fit differently. My son is 3-months and wears mostly 3-6months but in some stores I still have to buy him 0-3. Also some stores clothes shrink more then others. But I do agree with you I think baby clothes run small!!

My baby is going through the same thing. She's two months and wearing 3-6 month clothes and even some of those are too tight. I don't think it's my baby bc she's only 10.5 lbs.

I don't really go by sizes. I can usually tell by looking how well it will fit. My ds has clothes that fit perfectly that are 0-3 months, 3-6 months and one outfit that is 6-9 months. I think the problem with sizing baby clothes is that they grow SOOOooooooo fast. To have the clothes fit perfectly they would really have to size them by the week! I guess the clothing industry feels that is too much work so they broke it up into quarters, but common sense can tell you that something that fits a baby when it is born is NOT going to fit three months later when it has gained 5 or 6 lbs (maybe more).I find ds is outgrowing his sleepers quicker than his regular clothing.

I agree. It definitely depends on the brand. Carter's seem to run big to me but for the most part they all seem to run small.
