Baby Eating Less

HI ladies, I have a 3 and half month baby. He has been drinking 5.5 to 6 oz for every 3 hours in the past. But when he turned 3 months old, he would only take about 3 or 4 oz half of the time before he begins to wiggle and worming. Is this normal? What's happening?

It might be time to change the nipple to a stage 2.

I agree. Sounds like he may be getting impatient or maybe needs to be burped.

I first thought the nipple was the cause too. I did change it to stage 2, but he is still not eating as much as previously. I don't know what else could it be.

It could be a growth spurt. Babies usually go through one around 3 months. Some babies will eat less during one (like my daughter) and some will eat more. As long as he's acting normal and wetting enough diapers, then I wouldn't worry about it.

My dd is 6 months and she has the same problem. She would rather do anything else but eat her bottle. I just keep trying to offer it to her and eventually she drinks it all. It 's normal for the to eat less sometimes. Don't worry to much about it.

Thank you all, ladies! He has been this way for about 2 weeks. Although he's acting normal, I do plan to call my pedi tomorrow. I'll let you know if I get an answer from her.
