Hello, My 10 week old son, doesn't know when to stop eating, he has to be sucking on something to fall asleep. I br___tfeed and bottle feed, but so i give him both to fall asleep, He then eats to much and spits up, I have tried a pacifier and he won't take it, any advice?

Have you tried a pacifier that's closer to the shape of the nipple on the bottle you are using? All pacifiers are shaped differently...you may need to try several. Also helping him find his fingers may help.

Emma does that at 4 months still sometimes. She'll nurse and fall asleep and wake up and keep nursing to fall back asleep and then when she finally wakes up she spits it all back up! She's getting better about sticking her thumb in there instead though!

Emily (5 weeks) does that too, not every day...but on some days twice a day!!!!!!!!!! We go to the ped. tomorrow, last time she said that it was normal. It looks as though she spit up the entire meal? I always wonder if she is hungry after spitting everything up? (I know it doesnt make sense)

Emilysmom, my son does the exact same thing, what type of formula are you giving your daughter?

my daughter is doing the same thing. She is 7 weeks and spits up so much. I try the pacifier, but the minute she drops it she is crying again. I will have to give her food to make her sleep. Its very frustrating .....any advice?
