Baby S Rough Knees

Hello. Does anyone have any suggestions on smoothing out my baby's rough knees? When she first started crawling it never occurred to me not to let her crawl on the carpet on her bare knees. DUH! So I recently started putting pants on her when I let her crawl around on the carpet. Now her knees have little rough areas on them from the carpet. Is there anything that I can use to smooth them back out and bring back the natural color? The only thing I can think of trying is cocoa butter but I haven't tried it yet. Any suggestions? ~~Thanks ~~

my little man is 8 months, has been crawling for close to a month now, army crawing before that. I have never allowed him to crawl on bare knees, yet he still has rough patches. I think its just from normal circ_mstances of sensitive skin getting used alot more. I use Johnsons baby oil gel and it seems to work on smoothing things out.

Wait till he starts to crawl outside on cement that is bad. Since it is carpet burn you dont want to put anything on that will burn it so i would go a baby moisturiser.

If you have an Lansinoh (sp?) from b___stfeeding, that would work too. Otherwise, probably any type of thick moisturizer or oil would work quite well.

I had the same problem when Caelyn started crawling I put the Aveeno baby lotion on the dry spots twice a day and it really brought her knees back to soft baby knees again.I find if I do not do it the problem will start again.

Thanks, ladies. I felt sort of bad b/c it didn't occur to me not to let her crawl on bare knees. She has these beautiful little chubby legs and sc___ped knees. This is my first girl so maybe that's why I was a little more sensitive about it. *Kristie H. my youngest son who's now 11 used to crawl outside on the cement too.Ouch!! But it didn't seem to bother him cause he would go at it every chance he got.
