Hello. My daughter is two weeks old. She is being formula fed. For the first few days home, she has had a thick consistency, seedy, mustard colored stool. But now, her poop is dark green and runny. It almost has an oily consistency. Is this normal?

Yes, that is totally normal for formula fed babies. If you were b___st feeding it would be seedy, yellow and mustard like, but formula fed babies are all colors of the rainbow! One day our dd's would be olive green and almost black the next. It is normal!

Sometimes its the type of formula you are feeding can cause changes in the stool. Lipil or similac will makes Max's stools soft seedy yellow while Good Start would make it forest green and very sticky. Both are completely normal. If it phyically looks like there is oil in it, call your ped. She may be having an absorption problem to some type of food sensativity.
