my son is 4 months on thursday and i took him to the doctor yesterday and he has a little bit of an ear infection. he was weighed and was 20 pounds and 8 ounces. he was 8 lbs and 5 oz at birth. he drinks a bottle every 4 hours and a 6 ounces but he goes all night without a feeding. he's not br___tfed either. is he too big for his age? how much did ya'll's babies weigh at 4 months.

When we went to see the nurse for my daughters 10mth check up she was 18 pounds/ 11ounces so you do have a big fella... If the doctor wasnt concerned then dont worry..... Maybe next time ask the dr if he is too big for his age, once they crawl and such they lose weight, my little girl was called plump by a dr and now her little fat legs arent so fat as she is crawling around..........dont worry too much

My dd was 8 lb 14.5 oz at birth, and was 14 lb 8 oz at 10 weeks. My girlfriends ds was 8 lb 5 oz at birth, and 12 lb 4 oz at 6 months. Some of us just have big babies, as long as their length matches up, just be happy with your built-in workout!!!!

formula fed babies put weight on alot quicker than b___stfed babies. Guidelines will be changing soon to reflect charts based on b___st-fed babies. The WHO says a 1 yr old true healthy weight is 21lb (9.53kg) to 26lb (11.79kg). I would say he is big, but like hello said if your doctor isn't concerned than u shouldn't be. But the fact that your asking us makes us believe you r somewhat concerned. My baby is 7.5 months old and weighs 17lbs 9oz, but he was b___stfed. He weighed 8lbs 7 oz at birth.

My nephew was 20lb at 4 months, big boy but now that he is crawling/walking he is slimming down...he was formula fed also. My dd is now 9 mnths and weighs just over 20 lb..i thought she was chunky hehe

my doctor wasnt concerned about it she just said he's big boy. but i guess im just tired of all the rude comments from people about him. its not like i sit here and feed him all day long i try to stretch his feedings as long as i can
