Taylor is 2 months old and since day one she has been so alert and active. Even after eatting a full meal she rarely goes to sleep during the day time and at night it is only in 3 hour stretches(just recently also). I am so exhausted because she wants constant attention pretty much all day and even though she will sit in her glider content I certainly don't feel comfotable napping while she is awake. After I feed her she may take a 30 minute power nap but only if I lay her on her stomach. During her awake times she isn't fussy and crying just looking around trying to see everything and wiggling all over. Yesterday she learned to roll over from her stomach to her back and in the last week she has taken to vocalizing with everyone(toys included). My husband has ADHD so I am wondeing if she is just showing early signs or perhapsshe is just really advanced for her age but whatever it is I feel like all I do is entertain her all day long. I know I am truly blessed to have a healthy baby but I just don't have any experience with babies who didn't sleep alot. Any one know if this is normal? We go to the pediatrician on Monday so I will be asking her as well then. I guess I should add that she is growing very well, started out at 5lbs 60z and last weighed 9lbs 3ozat 6 weeks old.

Oh boy! Sounds like daughter dose not want to miss out on anything! Some babies are like that right out of the gate. My granddaughter is kinda the same...except she's not rolling over, yet:) She loves to lay in her crib and watch the mobile go around. She co-sleeps with mom at night and the crib is more like a play ground. Not much you can do at this age to make her sleep more. She's happpy and thriving. Lots of music, singing, talking and toys to look at are my suggestions. She's an inquizative soul. As she become more active and moving around (crawling, etc.) she may sleep more as she tires herself out.

Taylor is still co-sleeping with me at night as that is the only way I have been able to get her up to 3 hour stretches. When I put her in her ba__snet she wakes every 1 1/2 through the night. I guess its just hard for me as my husband works from 6am till 8pm Mon-Sat so I am often home alone trying to stay positive and engaged.
