Baby Witching Hour

In general my baby sleeps pretty well. She's 9 weeks and sleeps 6-8 hours at night and goes down easily (a few squawks and then she's off to dream land) and feeds every 3 hours during the day. Usually, she goes down pretty easy for her naps, except for her late afternoon nap. 95% of the time, she'll talk to herself or cry through her late afternoon nap (skipping it entirely). I heard from a friend that used to work at a daycare that it's very common that babies get cranky in the late afternoon. I just wanted to see if others are experiencing this and what if anything I should do differently? Thx

yeap, mine gets cranky too. The only thing I can tell you is that she maybe a bit too young to be in a routine per say, but what do I know... I tend to follow my kid and let her set her schedule. So far, she settled into a 2 hour morning nap and an hour and a half late afternoon nap. She'll sleep anywhere between 5 to 8 hours at night before asking for food....

Oh yeah! My MIL said she remembered my dh being the same way as well.

Yep my ds gets cranky between 5 & 7pm just about every night. Of course this is when I'm trying to make dinner! ;) He's just about 14 weeks.

My wee guy (10 weeks) gets fussy in the evenings, too. He just started doing it here lately...I had thought maybe it was the heat initially.
