My son has a cold & ear infection. His fever is finally gone. Can I give him a bath or just continue to give him sponge baths? Thanks!

I would still bathe him. I always bathed my dd even if she had a cold or ear infection. It could be very relaxing to them, and it seems to open my dd's sinuses- so if he is stuffy, it may help!

Whenever my ds is sick with a cold I give him a bath as always b4 bed but heres what I do and it always helps him sleep better. First I run the shower until the room is all steamy and hot we play in the bathroom during this so the steam breaks up the mucus then I run the bath with Johnsons vapor bath and bath ds. After we get out we wrap him up put baby Vicks on his chest and run the humidifer all night so hes not as stuffy. If hes really mucusy (is that a word??) I will suction his nose. I swear by this as it is theonly way to get him to sleep when sick. Oh also Tylenol for the ear pain. Good luck and hope your lo gets better soon.

J & J makes a vapor bath soap and its great. As long as your lo is older than 3 mths. Its just like vicks vapor rub but for the tub. I always give my kids a bath when they are sick b/c I love taking baths when I am not feeling well.
