My little guy is almost 1 month old. I've been giving him sponge baths because I'm nervous to put him in his tub. Does anyone have any suggestions?

If you have one of the infant tubs, i would just fill it up a little bit and then put him in it. I used a small folded up towel to put under their heads and the one i used had like a mesh netting and my dd laid in it with the water under her. She really likes her baths so it was pretty easy. Just have the soap and wash cloths ready and when you put him in, just talk to him as you wash him. I usually do the belly and legs first, then the face with just a wash cloth with water, then i flip her over and do her back and behind her ears. Then i do the head and hair and last i do the b___t and privates...It just takes a little getting used to, but your little guy will probably love it. GOod Luck!

my son has bad exema so I gave him sponge baths once every week or so...little bitty babies don't need a good washing until they start really moving and eating jar food (when it gets everywhere) good luck and God bless
