My dd has some boogers up in her nose and I try that sucky thing and it just doesn't get them out. Do I need a humidifier in her room or is there spray??? Any ideas to soften those puppies up so I can suck them away?

Hi Mrs.Ireland- My dd has had a cold for a month now!! We use a humidifier at night, because that is when it's the worst. Before we use the bulb syringe thing, we use saline solution. Just squirt some in each side, wait a minute or so so it has time to soften everything, then use the sucky thing. It really helps, but I hate doing it. My dd knows what the saline solution bottle looks like and he starts crying if he sees it. He can actually breathe when we are done though! GL

Hi Ireland -- same problem here -- the sucky thing is just that 'sucky'!! Doesn't work a lick! We have a cool mist humidifier -- worked wonders.. we also ended up 'carefully' using a q-tip to get the 'low-hanging' goodies from our lo nose! Good luck!

Yhea the aspirators are really c___ppy. And u think they could make them a little softer so they don't hurt their noses. I use the saline spray too and try the bulb to suction stuff out...sometimes I get a prize...most of the time just end up w/ a crying baby:-( I turn a humidifier on every nite when he sleeps also. Makes me feel so bad when he's breathing and sounds like a rhino!

My daughter will sometimes make noises where you can just tell she has some boogers up there, those things you stick in there nose to suck them out do NOT work or atleast I haven't found one that does and I've used like 3 different kinds! She eventually just b__ws it out enough for me to just pick it out though, I don't know how else to fix the problem.
