Breastfeeding Only After Picking Her Up In The Evenings

I have been bf since day one. I have been back at work for about a month now, and she's 6 months old. Pumping is such a pain for me and with my job very inconvient. I want to stop pumping during the day but want to continue to bf after I pick her up and until I drop her off the next moring. Does anyone know if this is possible to do without my milk drying up completely? Also what would the chance be of me bfing competly on the weekends with no bottles if we only feed formula during the day during the week? I was gonna ask the pedi at her 6 month appointment but that's not until next week.

Hi Sarah...It is definitely possible! Your body will adjust to your baby's schedule...kinda like a clock..it just knows how much milk to make and when. It's amazing! I did the same thing with my first dd...after I stopped pumping I would bf her in the morning -- after work and on weekends. You may want to stop pumping gradually so you don't experience any major engorgement.
