Chesty Cough Advice Regarding Sleeping

My 7 month old son has a chesty cough, he wheezes a lot and I have taken him to the doctor and he has ruled out a chest infection. He has advised calpol (i think tyenols is your US equivalent) every 4 hours and plenty of fluids. my question is that last night he woke up every 40 minutes, he is teething at the moment and very irratable with that but as soon as i gave him his dummy (paci) he would go to sleep, of course this means i got up about 20 times in the night, (no exaggeration) anyway I'm starting to gabble so i'll get to the point. This morning he has slept in his pushchair for 3 straight hours, i know he could be really tired but also is being elevated helping, shall i put him in his pushchair to sleep tonight or will this have impact on his back. I did try raising one end of his cot last night but that didnt help.

i once tried putting something under the head of the mattress. i actually put a folded towel, that way his head was higher then his body but he wasnt in a sitting position.

whatever gets you and him through the night. If he is sleeping better sitting up, then it is ok, it is only temporary and won't cause any problems for a few short days. Lack of sleep while sick will have far worse implications. When my oldest was sick, Dr recommened having him sleep in his car seat...my youngest prefers sleeping in his swing (oldest did too)

I'm pleased to say he had a much better night, i raised one end of his cot and he slept fine, still woke up twice for his feeds but that is normal. Thanks for your advice.
