My hubby is sick with a cold and I have a 3 month old son. If he does get a cold what would you do? Is there anything you can do to help a 3 month old get through a cold? Thanks in advance.

Our girls got thier first cold when they were about 3 months. We just cuddled them a lot and used saline nose drops to clear out the crusties. (I got the same cold and i complained more than the girls)

Bridget had a cold when she was a newborn. all you can do is pretty much watch the temperature, call the doc when there's a fever; and watch for eating habits and everything, if he refuses food, has no wet diaper in 8 hours, or seems dehydrated call the doctor... also if symptoms dont appear to be improving in a week I would call. other than that, use little noses brand or another brand of infant saline nose spray to loosen up congestion and use the bulb-sucker thing to clear out the nose. other than that, just keep him comfortable and give lots of attention. <3 good luck

My DS just got over his first cold (we made it to 5 months!). Try using a vaporizor or humidifier in his room and you could also elevate the mattress on his crib/ba__sinet if he gets congested. We put a pillow under the mattress at the head end of his crib. OH and you can put him in the bathroom with you when you and dh take a shower. Close the door so it gets really steamy - it helps break up the mucus. I even did this once in the middle of the night and it helped alot. Good luck!
