Crib Mobile Bumper Mattress Questions

my 7 month old dd decided she wanted to learn to crawl AND stand up within two days! So here I'm thinking holy cow! am I supposed to remove the crib mobile? what about the crib bumper and then I noticed her standing in her crib and the railing is below her shoulders. Almost thought will she fall face down onto the floor? yikes, when do you lower the crib mattress? For the most part she just stands on her knees and chews on the railing as she's teething too! She's growing too fast for me! Any help with my questions? thanks!

When they pull up you are supposed to remove the mobile and lower the crib. I still have my bumper in otherwise ds gets his limbs stuck and wakes crying so that is a personl call on your part.

Defintely lower the mattress ASAP! You never know when they'll try to be adventurous, and nose dive right out of the crib. Better safe than sorry.

thanks ladies! She started to stand up in the crib as I was typing my original post! So scary!! Tonight when dh comes home, thats the 1st order of business - lowering the crib mattress! My dd rolls around in the crib, so am afraid she;ll knock her head on the crib sides if I get the bumper out...anyone had their lo get hurt without the bumper?

my dd never had a bumper, I was affraid of sids so I never got one and she has never known the difference nor has she ever gotten hurt! Now at 10 months shes told old fo rone as she might decide to climb out utilizeing the extra padding under her feet! LOL, they do grow to fast! Good luck!
