I'm sure this has been asked several times, but how do you get your little ones to use sippy cups? I have tried every type of sippy cup from hard spout to soft and back even a sporty sippy cup the doc wants to check to see how well my little one can use cups at the next check up which is in less than 2 weeks.

how old is your baby? When my two year old was a baby he was using sippy cups by the time he was 7 mos all by himself that was just because i started him on them as soon as he could drink water--a couple sips. i never put juice or anything besides milk in his bottle so if he wanted water or juice he used a cup. can he use a straw, because they also have the sippy cups with the straws in there too. at first i found not to use the spill proof ones though-just till he got the hang of the whole sucking thing. but after that the transfer to leak proof was pretty easy.

My little one started using it when she was about 6-7 mos too. She really likes to use it herself, she acts all grown up! She will be 17 months old in just under 2 weeks. I just gave it to her one day and she started to use it like she has had it for a long time, natural to her. I never had a doctor ask or want to see how well my little one can use it though. Best of luck to you!

I started my daughter on a sippy cup at 5 mos., as directed by her pediatrician. I had no problem getting her to use one. I cant remember the brand of cup, but it had a removable valve, and the valve also had 2 flow options. My son is 5 1/2 mos. now, and he hates it! What are you putting in your daughters cup? Milk, water or juice? I found that putting formula in the cup the first few times helped her get used to the cup, and she was less mad about what was in it!

Try a nubbie, my daughter can use one at 4 months
