Curdled Milk

My baby daughter is 10 weeks old and after most bottles is sick (not a lot) but her milk is curdled. Does anyone know what causes this? Her bottles are always steralised and she enjoys her milk without any problems apart from this.

You mean when she spits up it looks curdled? I read that this is normal if the formula makes it to their stomach and starts to be digested but then comes back up it will look curdled. I dont think its anything to worry about.

Hi Jessb, thxs for yr reply. Yep the milk does make it to her stomach and after a while she's always sick and its curdled, but if its normal then I'm just being a panicky new mum. thxs again

Oh ya! That would happen to me. In fact, my son wasn't a big spitter-upper, but would wait and get sick with the curdled looking stuff (just a small amount). Now he hardly ever does it (almost 7 months) unless we're really playing wiht him a lot. Their systems are just so immature. Just make sure she isn't really "throwing up" where it projects from her mouth a bit. With our son, it still dribbled out like spit up, it's just that it was right after he ate.

Yes it's normal, I'm a new mommy too, and I freaked out and thought something was wrong when I first saw this too.
