Dd Has Grey Looking Teeth

Ok, dd is 7 months and the other day I noticed that her teeth (2 bottom) had a somewhat grey tinge to them and when I look behind her teeth it looked stained , almost like coffee stains. What the heck, I wipe them down every day. I have no idea what it might be, I do nurse her at night but I always unlatch her before she is fully asleep to prevent any type of bottle mouth, she also has 2 bottles of formula a day while she is at my sisters and is never put down for a nap with a bottle. I am so stumped! Any thoughts?

I know someone who has really dark teeth and I guess it was from a milk allergy when she was young. Not much help but that's the first thing I thought of.

Id there any possibility she's getting too much flouride? That's the only other thing I can think of.

We do have fluoride in our drinking water, maybe I will try using distilled water instead....Thanks, I never thought of that.

I think it's fluoride. My ped. told me that if I gave Jcak too much fluoride (we don't have it in our water here) that his teeth would turn grayish or stained-looking. I hope that helps...at least it's just her baby teeth, maybe just those 2? :)

My son had the same thing happen to him. At his 6 months check up the dr told me his teeth were discoloring. And i had always wiped his teeth. He got teeth when he was 3 months old so he had had teeth for a while. But we took him to the dentist and they told us we needed to BRUSH them...not wipe. He said after everything that goes into his mouth wether drink or food, to immediately brush them afterwards. That day he cleaned his teeth very well and that gray color went away. He said when you wipe their teeth it doesnt get everything that a brush would and it will leave a bacteria film on their teeth and thats what the gray color is. But like i said he took a polisher to his teeth and it came right off.
