DH Acts Like DD Is Deaf

You know how some people will talk EXTRA loud to someone if they speak a different language? Well, my dh does that with my dd! He talks to her SO loudly. I am constantly shushing him, or telling him "she can hear you, you don't have to shout." It's kinda annoying....and unnecessary. I don't know how to get through to him that he doesn't have to be so loud. I certainly don't want her taking after him thinking that she needs to be loud too. Luckily, she doesn't see him that often because he works long hours LOL

I have this problem with my DH and our 4 year old. Is he doing it out of anger ? I thought DH was, but after some time i realized that he has to raise his voice when he talks to his parents because they are so deaf. So its like a habit for him to. I would just explain to him that yelling can cause traumatic memories for the child and it can bring emotional problems. Maybe he will get the point.

No.....no anger at all! Just stupidity LOL. He will be talking all silly and baby-like...and loud. Maybe I need to tell him about the "inside voice!" hahaha
