Diaper Dilemmas

My dd is 10 months, and has recently learned how to crawl. She gives me a terrible time when I try to change her diaper. I strap her to the changing table and remove the dirty diaper with little problem, but then she flips onto her stomach and moves and squirms around, which makes it almost impossible for me to put a fresh diaper on her, not to mention get her dressed again. She doesn't do this when her daddy changes her, and it drives me crazy! Any ideas?

some people with probably be mad for me saying this....but nothing like a light spank on the leg to get their attention. did it with both of my girls and they learned. Otherwise maybe give her something to play with???

My ds is 7 months old but also the same way with rolling over when I'm changing him. Luckily his changing pad has deep lips on the sides which prevent him from doing a full turn, but he still rolls onto his sides. I usually just have to hold his legs down a little firmly while I get the diaper on. He cries (especially when new clothes go on) the whole time but its just something that has to be done. I sometimes distract him by making funny faces or voices which keeps him relaxed & laughing enough to change him. Also, I give him the end of the change table strap to fiddle with or suck on, or a diaper to handle. Also, I have a mobile hanging over his change table that he watches or tries to grab at.
