Diaper Rash Yeast Question

Hi, My daughter has only had diaper rash one time and that was when she was wee little and had terrible diahrea. Now she is almost 8 months and never had it since then. I remember the doctor telling me when she had it to watch for red raised bumps because it could be a yeast infection. So today when changing her diaper I noticed something that looked like a small pimple on her butt check (fleshy part) there is one on each side. Now there is now redness, or diaper rash just the 2 little red pimple looking things. They are not p___y or inflamed or anything like that. I was just wondering if that is what a yeast infection looks like or starts as or if it is just a pimple from all the heat etc. Thanks for any input.

A yeast rash does not look pimple-ish. It usually will cover a large area on the b___tocks, will be raised, and will look map-like in appearance rather than looking like a pimple. My son gets them a lot and we use a prescription cream for it. I believe it is called Nystatin. Keep an eye on it bc it is possible that it is just the beginning of a yeast rash. If it starts to spread, it probably is yeast.

You'll also know it's yeast if you use a zinc oxyde cream and it does nothing or makes it worse. My two boys get them too. If you cant get in to see your doctor right away about it you can use Monistat cream.
