Ear Piercing For Little Girls

Don't want to start a war about this topic... just wanted to share a friend's story. She took her 5 yo to get her ears pierced and she was worried that she would bolt after the first ear lol, but the place had a girl on each side of her head and they did it at the same time. I never heard of that, but it sounds like a pretty good idea so that they don't get wound up after the first ear and not want to sit for the second ear. Thought I'd share, since I know some of you are considering this...

I was 17 when I got my ears pierced and I wish they would have done that with me! I almost bolted at that age! Sad, huh? ;)

I know what you mean sahmof3, there usually are two employees at those piercing places now for that reason (at least I always see two, I dunno if it's the same where everyone else lives). I opted for one ear at a time though so her ears could be symetrical, she only cried for the first ear and whimpered for the second. Too bad they couldn't do her shots at the pediatrician all at once!

I had my dd's done at 2 months and thought getting both ears done at the same time was a great idea. They mark their ears with ink to make sure they are symetrical but one of the girls was new and got nervous and she totally missed the ink dot! There was no choice but to take it out and do it again. So if you are going to have them done at the same time, make sure to get two people that have experience!
