Episiotomy Stitches

I go to the doctor for my two week appointment tomorrow. I have st_tches from my episiotomy, and I was just wondering if they are the kind that dissolve on their own, or if the doctor will take them out??? Will he check my episiotomy tomorrow??? I know that they are still there because I can feel them.

I a__sume that all hospitals use the self dissolving st_tches...that is what mine have always been. It usually takes a few weeks for them to dissolve to ensure you are healed well. I've never been to a 2 week appt., mine have always been at 6 weeks. At that appt. they always do a pap...so they're down there anyway.

I think I go at 2 weeks and then at 6 weeks as well. The baby goes with me, how long is she covered under my medicaid???

I don´t know medicaid, but most insurances require you to annex your baby within 30 days. At the hospital they must have told you about taking warm sitz baths everyday to help dissolving the st_tches (no hospital I know doesn´t use the st_tches that do not dissolve by themselves).

i had the dissolving ones as well.. i went back 1 week from my delivery day and dr told me that they had dissolved except for 1 and she took it out and i didnt feel anything.. i go back at 40 days pp for a check up.. i didnt do a sitz bath as i was scared it might start burning me or something,, but mom and nurses were recommending it.. try it if ur st_tches are still there cz it does help them to dissolve.. GL :)
