I took a prescription migrane med while b___stfeeding and couldn't get a hold of my dr. The lactaton nurse called back the next day and said it wasn't a problem, but if I want a medicine to take more frequently I should switch to a different choice. So I think taking it once is fine, if you want to take it frequently, check on what risk level it is and go from there. Hope you're feeling better, migraines are killers!.

ry, I believe that particular med contains aspirin. If so, everything I have read (I'm a migraine sufferer as well) states you should not b___stfeed after taking it. The med peaks in your milk 1-2 hours after taking it...so if she's hungry in the next 4-5 hours I would supplement and pump & dump.
