Feeding Confusion

My daughter is 7 mos. and weighs just over 19 lbs. I just asked the doctor today how much to feed her - but I'm still confused. I think I'm not in tune with my baby since I work full time. Right now she get's fed every 3 hours (unless she's sleeping) with a 6 oz bottle. I started introducing solids a month ago - but it is random when I give them to her - and I usually only give her maybe half the soild then her usual bottle. How do you know what to do? How can I get on a schedule? Any advice? Thanks!!

Janny-I understand EXACTLY

how do I even do that?!?!? Anyways, I understand EXACTLY how you feel...I was working full time, 5 days per week up until this week...I have Fridays off now. BUt, I too, feel like I'm not sure of my dd's schedule! But, what we've been doing on the weekends, is she'd nurse first thing in the a.m., we'd give oatmeal and a fruit for breakfast, usually at about 7:30am, then a small bottle (as I have not a whole lot ofmilk left!)...then she'd nap for 1-2 hours, then for lunch it's a veggie, then usually a bottle, then another nap, then another bottle, then dinner is meat/veggie with oatmeal...Then another bottle after her bath...BUT, lately she never seems to want the bottles when I offer them. Sometimes I feel like I'm clueless and she's 8 months old! That is why I hate working Full time, it makes you feel un-connected with your baby. Anyways, my dd started solids at 4.5 months so it's been longer than your lo...but I'd say at this point offer at least 2 solid meals, I think you'll find you'll drop a bottle or two. I know a lot of ladies with 7-8 month olds who are ff are down to three 8oz bottles per day with 3 solid meals. Sorry this is a rambling mess...my monster will not nap...gotta run.
