My little girl is 7 month, born 2 in a half months premature. She wont take a bottle..nor sippy cup....nor a regular cup...My goodness I dont know what to do. I cant make her dring that formula or water...which she really needs. Here is how it goes: I offer bottle or sippy cup...cause maybe she'll take it (2 times a day) then if she doesnt I mix it with oatmeal cereal. And give her some fruits veggies and some 2nd foods. What can I do how can I make her take that formula...which she desparately needs???? I am so upset ladies... PS she never ate at br___t, but she had br___tmilk... she loves eating from the spoon. Maybe someone can help me?! If anyone had a baby that wouldnt take a bottle how did you feed them?

How do you feed her if she won't take a bottle, sippy cup, regular cup or the b___st? I think I misunderstood your question??? Did she ever take a bottle?

Im also confused.. if she was never b___stfed, and wont drink from a cup, sippy, or bottle, how are you feeding your baby? The only thing I can reccomend is to try a sports bottle... you know the kind you take to the gym with a pull-top? Ive heard doctors reccomend this to mothers who are having problems getting their kids to drink from sippy cups or bottles... good luck!

Since she was born premature I pumped b___stmilk and fed her with the bottle, however when she started teething she rejected bottle. Now I try giving her Enfamil...Yes, you understood my question right. Since she doesnt want to take bottle, I mix formula with cereal...and then feed her with spoon :)

I don't know how she could possibly be getting enough formula/b___stmilk if she is only having cereal. I would stop giving her the cereal. She will eventually have to take the bottle of formula/b___stmilk because she will be hungry. Once she adjusts, they introduce the cereal again.

...Also try a different bottle. Maybe she doesn't like the kind you are using.

I agree with jb. She probably rejected the bottle because her gums were sore. You should stop the cereal and formula for a day or two. She'll eat when she's hungry. She won't starve to death. She has to have the formula, she doesn't have to have the cereal. Try some different nipples. Also, make sure it's coming out of the nipple fast enough, or not to fast, whichever is relevent. She may just be getting frustrated. Good Luck!

One of my dds occasionally refuses her bottle for a few days. I just take it slow with her and give her lots of breaks. It takes her longer to drink, but she does eventually take it in. The bottle strikes always go away in a couple of days. She has been doing this since about 3 months and she is also 7 months.

i was going to say that too, big nipples! my dd was 2 months and i had to get her fast flow nipples, she just wanted to drink it down in 2 seconds flat, once we changed the nipple size she would eat great, before that i was lucky if she ate 10 oz a day!

i should add to be clearer too she would just get frustrated with eatting

Thank You Ladies for your responce. I did try different nipples, it doesnt help. I also tried not giving cereal, and just trying formula, then she would eat only twice a day from the bottle. Twice a day isnt enough for her....but she doesnt ask for more. She never cries if she is hungry, but if you feed her she will eat. ..I just dont know.. I am so confused.
