have you felt her gums? she could be teething. My little one fevered 104.4 when she was teething. I gave her some Tempra and a cold cloth to chew on, she loved it. I hope all goes well.

Also the ear thermometer is the most inacurate ,try again under arm and add 1 degree.or rectal for really accurate!!

I would say you did the right thing giving tylenol. It should bring the fever down. 100.8 isn't too too bad, it is fever, but not high enough for ER.

Also, if Tylenol doesn't work and you're still worried, try a cool damp cloth on the head or back of the neck. If she's teething, a damp cloth to chew on is one of their favorites!

Ibuprofen will bring down a fever better than tylenol. When the baby's older than two months, that's not a high enough fever to call the doctor about...but do keep an eye on her overnight. I don't know why, but kids seem to get higher fevers in the middle of the night.

i spoke with my doctor and he said that thats not teething fever thats too high. i think she might have an ear infection i'm taking her tomorrow to see him. thank you for all your help.
