I have to go back to work tomorrow ): It is my first day back and I am so nervous but I was wondering if you ladies have any advice about the first day back and how to cope. It is only for 6 hours but still. I have not been without my baby for 13 weeks now and I dont know how I am going to get through the day. Any tricks to make the day go by faster or how to deal? Thanks in advance! Jessica

I wish I had some advice to make it easier but you kind of have to just do it and eventually it will get better. I was fortunate when I had to go back to work after my first child, my mother kept my son. That made it much easier to return and at the time I loved my job and had many friends there supporting me. I also only worked 7.5 hours a day for 4 days a week. So I got to spend every Friday with my son. Good luck.

Stay busy, busy, busy! With my last son I went back to work as a teaching a__sistant when he was a little over a year old. It was at a private school so there was lots of one on one and I stayed really busy, but I noticed on breaks and lunch time when things would be quieter all I could think about was my little fella.

Bless your heart! I had to do the same thing at 7 weeks, and I cried all the way to work. I thought I would cry all day, but as soon as I got to work, everyone kept telling me how hard it was while I was gone and how much I was appreciated. It helped distract me. Like the others have said, stay busy, call the sitter as much as you need to, and take pictures to show everyone. I also stay on the internet alot of the day and that helps me pa__s time, LOL!

Aww JJ, you will be fine. Who is watching your lo? How far are you from work? I work full time (2 days from home and 3 days in the office). My mom watches my dd so it is a little less nerve wracking and I work less than a mile away which helps. I agree with Rabbits07, keep busy. I also chat on here and keep busy. It will get better over time. Good luck!
