Freaking Out A Bit

My ds is 7 weeks old. This weekend we finally had to put him in size 6 months clothes because the 3 month are too short (some too snug). We decided to weigh him. Dh stepped on the scale alone and then with him. There was a 16 pound difference! Our scale goes to the 1/2 lb, so the most it could be off is 1/2 lb. He was 12lb 10oz at his 1 month check up and he goes for his 2 month in alittle over a week. He was 9lb 2oz at birth. Anyone else with a giant? He is only br___t fed and I feed him on demand, so only when he is hungry.

My son weighed 15 pounds at 2 months. It scared me to have such a big baby, but the growth finally slowed a little. He's 6 months now and only weighs 19lbs (but he had the stomach flu and the docs a__sume he lost over a pound in 10 days) but he is 30 inches long and wears a size 5 shoe! I'm pretty sure we are having another growth spurt - as now he is wanting to eat every 2-2.5 hours on top of eating solids twice a day! He outgrew his infant carrier before 6 months! So you're not alone - I have a little giant, too!

Glad to hear I am not the only one. I figured he would have to level out at some point. He was 23 inches long at 1 month. I will find out how long he is at our 2 month appointment. I hope your "little giant" is feeling better.
