Going Back To Work

i am going back to work and need to try to get my 2 month old on somewhat of a schedule. right now I am feeding her around 9 or 10 at night and she sleeps until 4:30. I need to get her to sleep until 6:00 so I can feed her before I have to leave. What can I do differently so that she is hungry at 6:00 and not 4:30? Any advice would help!

You can try getting her to stay up a little later and take another feeding if that is a viable option for you or you can try to encourage her to take a little more at each feeding through the day and hope she sleeps a bit longer. Even with doing that I will warn you that some babies, even with the extra feedings throught he day and before bedtime will STILL wake up at their regular time and expect to be fed so don't be surprised if that happens. (I guess it's kind of like an adult getting used to getting up at a certain time and then still wake at that time even when they could sleep in.) Will you be taking baby to a sitter's house? If baby doesn't get into the routine of 6 instead of 4:30 before then maybe the routine of getting her up at 6 and going ahead trying to feed her will eventually get her into the routine. Some babies adapt to different schedules easily and others balk...hopefully yours is in the first group! Good luck.
